What does Menumill do?
Menumill is a hosted application that allows you create manage and publish a website. It lets you organize your menus, special events and galleries, customize the look of your website and integrate with other restaurant technologies like open table — all with simple management tools.
How do I install Menumill?
There’s no installation required! We host Menumill so you don’t have to worry about installing or upgrading any software. You only need a modern web browser such as Firefox or Safari and you’re ready to signup and go.
What do I need to get started?

Can I use my own domain instead of menumill.com?
Absolutely. All of our paying plans include this feature. When you first setup a website with Menumill, you will select a placeholder domain such as mysite.menumill.com so that you can access and administrate your site before it's live. But, when you're ready, you can assign any domains that you own to your Menumill site. For more information on how to do this, see these articles on our support site.
Do I have to pay for hosting, too?
Nope. Every Menumill website includes free hosting.
Does it work on Macs?
Yes! and on PCs. Menumill is an online application so there's nothing to install. All you need is an internet connection and a modern web browser. Both Safari and Firefox are supported on Mac. On PC, we support Firefox. Linux users can also use Firefox.
Is there a contract commitment?
With Menumill there are no setup fees and no contracts. You pay by the month and you can change your subscription at any time.
Can I extend Menumill with custom programming?
You cannot extend the software itself, but there are many ways to bring custom functionality into Menumill. Our company works with custom clients and we often create special features and functions that work with the software. You can use client-side scripting to bring extra functionality right to your website’s pages.
What about email?
We don't provide email with Menumill so you can host your email wherever you wish. We often recommend Google's applications on your domain because it is a really great service and it is free.
Design - FAQ's
Do I need to be a designer/programmer to change my website design?
Not at all! Menumill comes packed with a variety of pre-designed templates that you can apply to your website. New designs will be added periodically so you can always keep your website looking fresh.
What is Liquid?
Liquid is the template language used by Menumill. It is written inline with your theme’s HTML and lets you display your website’s content however you see fit. You can get more information on using Liquid in our help section. Liquid is open source software, meaning anyone can contribute to it.
Where can I find tutorials and guides?
You can visit our online help section to find up to date tutorials and videos regarding the use of Menumill and some of the special tricks or tips. The help section is evolving and we are adding articles regularly. If you don’t find what you are looking for, you can drop us an email. We are always happy to hear from our customers.
Your Account - FAQ's
What if I want to try Menumill first?
No problem. We have free 30 day trials on all of our plans. Just select your desired plan and signup. We won’t charge your card for 30 days. You can cancel at any point during the trial period and you will not be billed.
How much does Menumill cost?
We have several pricing plans for you to choose from in order to best suit the size and nature of your website.
How can I pay?
You will need a Visa or Mastercard to pay Menumill’s fees.
How do I get billed?
Your credit card will automatically be charged monthly. You will be sent an receipt email as a record of billing.
Can I cancel my account if I am not happy with Menumill?
Absolutely, we really hope it does not come to that. We are happy to help in any way that we can and this includes, letting you cancel at any time for any reason. You will not be billed again after you cancel your account.

As a general rule, we don't offer phone support because in the time it takes to handle one customer via a phone call, we can handle dozens through email.
Also, our email support is very responsive and very personalized unlike larger companies that outsource call services. If an issue cannot be resolved via email, we will schedule a phone call to take care of you.
